SSI BASIC DIVER

The SSI Basic Diver program aims to provide candidates with the necessary skills 
and knowledge to safely scuba dive with an SSI Open Water Instructor
in an open sea environment.

Maximum pool / limited water depth limit: 5 meters

Maximum open water depth limit: 12 meters.

Basic Divers may dive for six (6) months after completing the Basic Diver program in environments equivalent to the SSI Open Water Instructor's
training and within the recommended depth limits.

After six (6) months, the student must restart the Basic Diver program or enroll in a Scuba Diver / Open Water Diver program to continue diving.
